Arlington Bowie Coach Draws Recognition

Arlington Bowie head Coach Kenny Perry was selected by the Dallas Cowboys and U.S. Army as the local high school coach of the week for his team's upset of Cedar Hill.  Bowie's Volunteers (4-0) defeated the defending Class 5A Division II state champion Longhorns on the road Friday, 57-45.  The honor includes a $2,000 grant to Bowie from the Army and The Gene and Jerry Jones Family Charities. Coach Perry Selected Coach of the Week

Bowie Volunteers coach Kenny Perry was named the U.S. Army/Dallas Cowboys Coach of the Week on Tuesday. Perry is leading the Volunteers, who are currently 6-2, to one of their best seasons in school history. For Perry's award, the Bowie football program will receive a $2,000 grant provided by the U.S. Army and Gene and Jerry Jones Family Charities.
