convincing 49-21 victory Thursday night.

ARLINGTON - The much-anticipated showdown between
unbeaten teams didn't materialize the way Martin
fans had hoped. The Bowie Volunteers quick strike
offense proved to be too much (and too balanced) as
they got a big night from Junior Quarterback
Christian Matthews. Matthews was deadly, throwing
for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns in leading Bowie
(8-0, 5-0) to a convincing win over Martin
(7-1,4-1).
