Toronto Blue Jays center fielder and Arlington Bowie alumnus Vernon Wells addressed Bowie's football team Tuesday. Wells expressed envy because the Volunteers are in the playoffs, something he didn't experience during his football playing days. He wished the team well and offered some motivating words. "It's very inspiring," senior Carlton "Pooh" Cannon said. "To let us know that he's watching us means a lot." By Milenko Martinovich
